During our hike in Cinque Terre we took a pit stop -- this man had a caffe' in one of the towns. We had an espresso and a slice of apricot tart. I think he was bored -- or perhaps animated with all the tourists that come from everywhere; he asked us questions. My mom was bored, I think. Anyway, we spoke, rested, used the facilities and were on our way. I loved all the little signs and markers (red/white paint stripes) -- and the spectacular views. Hiking Monterosso to Riomaggiore is far more difficult!!!
