Walking the trail

This is the tail end of the hike from Monterosso to Riomaggiore: the towns of Corniglia and Riomaggiore.

I believe this is in Corniglia.

Spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Hiking CT reminded me of the Bay Area, especially part of Half Moon Bay and Big Sur -- the climate, the and the jaw dropping view. For a person who is scared of heights, I was amazed that I finished the 5 hour hike, some parts of the trail are extremely narrow and unpaved. My legs were so F'n sore the next day, but it was so worth it.

This is part of the Via dell'Amore -- (click on the picture) and you'll see graffiti -- there is a TON of graffiti on this drag of the hike. This part of the hike was the easiest. It was paved. Heck, there is even a sit down restaurant. I think it is popular with everyone (elderly, young, people in walkers, etc.) -- because it is paved.

Here we are at the end of the hike, in Riomaggiore. Aiye! Time to take the train back to Monterosso!

More views of the Mediterranean -- see how rocky the waters are!
