Rick Steves Florence - cont'd.

I didn't realize how many pictures I took while in Florence. Anyway, here are more photos of our tour in Firenze... This is the main piazza, in front of the Uffizi. This "David" is Donatello's version -- and a replica of the original that is now in the Bargello. It's more slender, smaller, and literal compared to the famous version in the Accademia.

Here I am in the Bargello. It's airy, open and lends itself well to the art pieces, mostly sculptures, that it houses. I really liked it, I prefer more 3-D art -- than the 2-D stuff.

Another view of the Arno

I believe this is a shot of Piazza Santo Spirito, from the Oltrarno -- we ate at Borgo Antico -- a light lunch, salad and pizza and some wine? Their salad has great seafood: mackerel, tuna, etc. -- what you don't normally find here in the States.

Street art everywhere in Florence, sometimes kitschy- sometimes neat.
